This game is bogus. I can’t understand how the opponent gets so many doubles. I have beaten on a last roll double multiple times. Its infuriating.

5700+ player. Win more than I lose. I say this 100% truthfully…this game will drive you nuts. The dice are so loaded. It’s painfully bad. It’s really a shame because the gameplay is great. Would be an awesome app if they fixed the algorithm.

Well designed application. HOWEVER, the dice roll algorithm is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! Over time you will recognize an obvious pattern. You accumulate points for wins. When your opponent has a similar number of points as you, the rolls appear somewhat random resulting in a relatively fair game. That is rare. The greater the disparity in points between you and your opponent, the more outrageously improbable the rolls become. A player with a low number of points may not be inferior. It may simply be that player hasn’t used this app for very long. If you have a lot more points than a good player with few points, your chances of winning are slim to none. You’ll face a succession rolls that will extricate your opponent from near impossible situations. Even incredibly inept players are often difficult to beat for this reason. It’s absolutely ridiculous. You’ll come to see that a game on this app barely resembles a real game of backgammon. I’d love to see the dice roll algorithm. It must be extremely complex. It clearly considers comparative pip counts, tile positioning & individual point totals before producing its rolls. Avoid this game like the plague.

The AI at medium and beginner levels is a joke and at expert levels the AI roll is rigged to be favorable in the guise of creating difficulty. After a month of tracking the AI’s rolls it has a 36.2% chance of hitting a 1 in 36 roll.

The bot gets too many spot on rolls only in favor of its play multiple times in a row. Also rolls doubles far more than you get. I’ve played on different levels and it still does the same. Also when you are way ahead it rolls back to back high rolls to catch up but provide lower ones for you.

The other “online“ player, which is actually the computer, rolls three doubles in their home area. But the developer of this app wants to tell you that this game has random roles. This is not the first time I’ve seen this.

There is nothing fair or random with the dice results. It’s so obvious.

Love being able to play others is there a cost to actually be able to get a win? I play a lot and only ever get high double rolls when I’m blocked and can’t use them and never get a roll I need where as the other players who have a lot of points seem to always get exactly what they need!! Is it a club I need to join? I’m at a lose as to how to actually win.

NOTE TO THE DEVELOPERS: The dice are the part of the game that is random. That makes it interesting and fun, especially when you have to factor that into your tactics. If you need to make the dice less random and lean toward the computer to make advanced play difficult, then you’re killing that exciting element of the game. Advanced is really not much fun to play at all. I win sometimes, but my tactics have shifted to try to overcome the loaded dice as much as the computer. You don’t seem to have to, based on the reviews, but if you actually want to improve this game, figure that part out. Original review: If the idea is to simulate real play, then the more you increase the difficulty level, the more you should be playing against increasingly excellent tactics and ruthlessness. But you shouldn’t be fighting against increasingly unfair and unrealistic rolls. Sure, it makes it incredibly hard and at times impossible to play competitively or win. But it also kills the fun of playing the game at all. It’s not hard to track lucky and unlucky rolls and how the frequency changes as you move up in difficulty level. Still on the hunt for a better one.

There is no luck or randomness here, just a bluntly stupid algorithm that makes a level “hard” by having the bot rolling several consecutive doubles and always the right number to hit your one open piece.. super lame. Only positive here is the speed with which the program works.

The dice rolling is not random. It’s rigged to get what it needs every time. It gets cover moves 90% of the time and gives you rolls that forces you to leave unprotected guys on the board. I would give it zero stars if that were an option.

Clear bias! All the moves are made to hold you and the vast majority you need 8-12 dice rolls to get back, specially if is a spot or two free

The games rigged. The dice rolls will always favor your opponent. Ran a series of tests and without fail, over 95.334% of rolls favored the opponent and/or rolled to a variable that was not favorable.

The worst game in the history of games. The design is extremely bad, and the dice rolls are totally unfair. I have deleted it and I do not recommend it at all.

The AI that’s running the dice is terrible. I’ve never seen such a badly ran game… don’t waste your time.

This app claims to have 100% fair dice, which is clearly not the case. As others have stated, maybe it’s how they compensate for harder modes, but that certainly isn’t “fair.” When I need to roll certain numbers to get off the bar, I can’t get the numbers I need and sit and watch my opponent fill up their board, while I can guarantee they’ll roll what they need to hit my lone checker or get off the bar. So frustrating.

Don’t get ANY games from Adikus. They’re all junk. If you REALLY want to play a good competitive game of backgammon, here’s what you do. Delete all those backgammon apps you my have (and don’t download this one), and buy a backgammon set and play real people. These apps are full of bots. If you are just learning, play on a real board with somebody who knows the game, and learn the strategy of backgammon because you’ll learn nothing from these apps. Playing these apps will make you get in to some bad habits and will teach you nothing about the game. My city holds great tournaments, and you meet great people who will show you the right way to play. Get out there, man!! 👍😎

I really wanted to enjoy this backgammon game, but there’s one glaring issue that ruins the entire experience—the dice rolls are absolutely not random. Time and time again, the computer seems to get the exact roll needed to hit or block, no matter how improbable it is. It’s not subtle either. You’ll be in a strong position, and suddenly the AI gets the perfect combination to kill your piece, over and over. It doesn’t feel like you’re playing a fair game; it feels like you’re watching a script designed to create “drama” rather than a real match. If you’re looking for a game that actually simulates backgammon with true randomness, this isn’t it. Hard pass.

This game is so off it’s ridiculous. Been playing for way too long because I like the setup but rolls are not random. It is unbelievable how the rolls work better for one side than the other. I’m sure this review will not be posted because none of mine ever have. The whole system is rigged.

One of the better interfaces for sure but the tilted gameplay that leads to the computer (on hard) or better rated players is outrageous. They roll any number they need every single time. I asked the developer in an email and they claimed it’s random. I claim they’re wrong. 1 star. Would give 0 if I could

Opponent rolled 5-1. Moved 5-2 to take me off. How? When I pointed this out in an e, Mail I then lost the. Next 5 games . One to a 2300 against my whopping 64. I can’t win now. What a bunch of cheating and what a dishonest game

I have to say, this Backgammon app is incredibly disappointing and frustrating. It feels like the dice are completely rigged, and there’s no chance of fair gameplay. The system always seems to roll numbers that will hit your gammons or leave you in a position where you can’t make a meaningful move. It’s almost as if the app is intentionally setting you up to fail, making it impossible to win without an excessive amount of luck. Another issue is the so-called “online opponents.” I’ve played enough games to realize that these opponents aren’t real people at all. They’re nothing but fake system-generated players designed to make you feel like you’re up against an actual opponent. But in reality, it’s all about keeping you engaged for longer, forcing you to spend more time on each game to inflate their playtime data. It’s painfully obvious that the main goal of this app isn’t to provide an enjoyable or fair experience, but rather to get you stuck in endless matches, which only boosts their data metrics. I would strongly recommend avoiding this app unless you want to waste your time on a rigged, frustrating game that has no regard for fairness or enjoyable gameplay.

There is no multiplayer- it’s all bots. Naming convention is the same - moves are the same.

The only way you’re actually gonna play other people is if you’re playing a friend directly in front of you otherwise the online gameplay is fake. You’re still playing the computer and it’s nonsense. It’s one thing to have strategic moves programmed, but to constantly favor the dice throws for the computer is just plain cheating and dumb. This is one of the worst backgammon apps out there.

The system increases difficulty by manipulating the dice. There is no point in playing against the system. In fact I think it could create bad decision making if you do.

Mostly random but has to be cheating (selecting specific rolls that are too good to be true) when it matters because happened way too often

The unlikeliest of rolls come about at an unlikely high rate. You can practically guess the roll based on how unlikely a come from behind win is. This game does not showcase talent. But rather the spectacular win by “luck”. Serious players should look elsewhere. Casual players enjoy it is a really good layout.

This game is so ridiculously rigged it’s a joke. Don’t waste your time. There are better backgammon games you can download. Avoid this game at all costs!

I have been playing this game as a single player at the Hard Level and very disappointed in the program. The program manipulates the rolls in its favor. I also counted the number of double rolls it gets compared to my count and it tends to be 3:1. I’m currently looking for another game.

After playing for a few weeks I can see the game is 100% rigged when playing the computer. EVERY TIME the computer gets the EXACT perfect roll to screw you. EVERY TIME. Nothing random about this game. If you love getting frustrated, this game is for you!!!

This game app is terrible.

This ai so hates to lose. On Hard it lets you win 1 out of 50 times. Doubles after doubles and just when you think it is going to let you win it rolls doubles on the last roll.

Too much algorithm built in this, would be a better game if more evenly odds not realistic rolls play it you’ll see what I mean.

I’m finding it hard to believe that all of the dice rolls are fair and random. Been playing this version for about a week and the computer opponent has been getting dice that are incredibly convenient and almost predictable.

It is rigged to make you loose if it wants… 10% are fair games… I hate this game. All in my opinion of course.

I tried un installing and reinstalling but all it did was wipe the stats I’ve spent years working on. Garbage.

I’ve played a lot of online games and this is by far the worst, most predictable game there is. The number of doubles rolled is absolutely ridiculous. It makes it not even a game. Every situation the game finds itself in it gets out of with the exact roll of the dice. I literally can predict over half of the dice before they’re even rolled. Find a different version of online backgammon that is actually fun and fair, this one is trash.

Yes, the interface is clean and uncluttered. Nice, but there is absolutely NO WAY the dice rolls are random (no matter what they say). It is frustrating. On top of that, the instant a game finishes, you are force fed extremely annoying ads. I suspect there are no other backgammon apps that are any better. Judging by reviews for other apps, I guess this is just the way online backgammon is. Bummer

The game uses to be good but now all of a sudden the dice feel loaded against you. The computer will roll several perfect rolls in a row that completely screw you over and leave you no chance to win. Uninstalling.

Just played 5 games. First game my opponent rolled 5 doubles while I rolled 4. Second game my opponent rolled 4 doubles I rolled 3. Third game opponent rolled 3 doubles I rolled 4. Fourth game we both rolled 2 doubles. Fifth game my opponent rolled 5 doubles I rolled two. This is not random at all. Fix this issue please
